HD Hyundai Electric has announced a long-term framework agreement with an unnamed global technology company for power infrastructure serving data centers under construction in North America.
Agreement scope
The company values the framework at up to KRW 1.1212 trillion. It identifies KRW 553.9 billion for distribution equipment and KRW 567.3 billion for power equipment, with individual orders expected to be released in phases according to the customer’s construction schedule.
Deliveries are planned through 2028. The package approach combines distribution equipment used within the facilities with higher-voltage power equipment, rather than treating each product group as a separate procurement stream.

- Delivery, quality and after-sales responsibilities can be managed across a broader portion of the electrical system.

Engineering perspective
A framework agreement does not by itself define the final technical configuration. System voltage, short-circuit ratings, internal-arc requirements, protection architecture, approved standards and project-specific purchase orders remain essential. The announcement nevertheless shows how data-center growth is moving switchgear and power-equipment availability into the critical path of large infrastructure programs.
