Eaton Xiria 630 is an SF6-free medium-voltage switchgear family for ring-main stations and secondary distribution. Eaton specifies vacuum switching and clean, dry-air insulation.
Verified electrical ratings
The official technical table states rated voltage up to 24 kV, rated normal current 630 A, 50/60 Hz operation and 20 kA rated short-time withstand. The short-time withstand is available as 20 kA for 1 second or, as an alternative, 20 kA for 3 seconds.
Configuration and application
The family includes block, extensible, circuit-breaker, load-break and fused functional units. Visible isolation is provided through front inspection windows.
Specification caution
Do not confuse the published AFLR 21 kA/1 s internal-arc classification with the 20 kA rated short-time withstand current. Confirm the selected functional unit and climatic version.
