Product scope
CIBANO 500 combines a timing analyser, micro-ohmmeter and adjustable AC/DC coil and motor supply for medium- and high-voltage circuit breakers.
Verified tests
The official page identifies main-contact timing, static and dynamic contact resistance, coil-current signatures, travel, undervoltage behaviour and minimum pickup. It supports MV breakers and HV live-tank, dead-tank and GIS designs. OMICRON publishes a system weight of 20 kg.
Engineering interpretation
An integrated supply allows controlled undervoltage tests without relying on station battery variation. Dynamic resistance and motion results require correct transducers, connections and manufacturer-specific interpretation; unusual signatures are indicators, not automatic diagnoses.
