Product scope
SEL-751 is a feeder protection relay combining protection, control, metering and monitoring. SEL lists directional overcurrent, fault location, arc-flash detection and high-impedance fault detection among available functions.
Digital interfaces
The official page lists IEC 61850 Edition 2.1, IEC 60870-5-103, PRP/HSR, EtherNet/IP, RSTP, PTP, Modbus and DNP3 options. Conventional and low-energy analogue sensor inputs are available by configuration.
Engineering interpretation
Arc-flash mitigation combines light detection with high-speed overcurrent supervision to improve security. The protection study must still define pickup, zones, sensor placement and trip outputs.
